The password is equal to the target URL. For example: the password for this applet is realapplets, so this applet will redirect you to realapplets.html. Of course SecretPass.class must be in the same directory. This way there is no static HTML or text file that contains the password. If you make sure that there is an index.html or index.htm in the same directory, people can't see the files in that directory... so it gets very hard find the right URL/password for hackers. Even if they decompile the applet, they still can't find the secret part of your website, neither your password.

You can make different webpages in the same dir, then the password for each page is its name. However if someone tries a password, that has a non-exsisting URL, that password is wrong, afther 3 wrong tries the applet will go to the wrong URL page.

The applet will adjust its layout to its size, so do not be afraid to change heigth and width of the applet in the html file! The unlicened version has a small banner (the "RA") in the top right corner and is free for any site.

However we claim that this applet is a very good method to secure your website, we can not be hold responsible for possible hacks or cracks on your website.
